Emily {Maternity Shoot}

Beverley M. Photography

There is something very precious about a mommy who is impatiently waiting to be. I myself haven't yet experienced the journey a woman takes to motherhood: the steady swelling of the tummy as it grows a new life, feeling tiny hiccups echoing from within and the exciting expectation of meeting this beautiful new human, not quite a stranger, yet still having to be met. The thought of tiny dimpled fingers, warm rosy cheeks, soft baby cuddles, stinky nappies and a bit of screaming now and then. It is indeed a beautiful adventure.

Emil and Jean-Maré {Wedding}

Beverley M. Photography

A couple of months ago(April- to be exact), I was able to second-shoot a wedding with a fantastic photographer from my area, Laura Versfeld from Laura Versfeld Photography
She was such a lovely person to work with and I came away from the wedding feeling super inspired!

The wedding was held at the Swartberg Country Manor, a beautiful little guest farm outside of Oudtshoorn, and what a lovely day it was. Please be sure to check out the full wedding on Laura's website, what you see blogged here is only the tip of the iceberg!

Emily {Bridal Shoot}

Beverley M. Photography

Oh, how I love weddings! I love photographing them, I love attending them and I love being a part of them. I am not entirely sure why I like weddings in particular, but I think it may have a lot to do with the fact that weddings have so many amazing and delicious details just waiting to become a piece of art through the eye of a photographer! Well anyway, that's how I see it. ;)
Today's images are from a bridal shoot I did with a lovely friend of mine, Emily. It was actually spread out over two days, due to an interesting combination of circumstances- one being that we were a bunch of friends with a relaxed time-line and another being that the sunlight had a voracious appetite for the other side of the world(what with Europe etc being summer and all(yes, it's winter here in South Africa and we are currently freezing our bottoms off)).

Anyhow, I am going to stop babbling now and let the pictures do the talking. Enjoy!
